"Practice in tradition is the foundation of this style of karate, rather than a display for tournament."

These programs help teach children self control, respect for themselves and others, sportsmanship, inner strength and bully proofing. Students have been shown to improve their academic performance, achieve better grades in school and a stronger ability to say "NO" to peer pressure.

For adults, our programs are great for stress relief, flexibility, weight loss, self defense, confidence and increasing energy. Also, they are tons of fun!

High ranking, fully qualified, registered Black Belt instructors.

Solidarity on December 15th

Thank you to everyone who came out for the special 1am workout we had on December 15th. Although the reason was a somber one, we joined with over 16 other dojos around the world to show our solidarity with the Nagamine dojo in Okinawa and we thank everyone who made the effort to join us. We hope to post pictures soon!

Thank You Sensei Baehr

The seminar last weekend was a success! Thank you Sensei Baehr for sharing with us your vast knowledge on the rich history of our style and your experiences. This two day seminar was very informative and included invaluable information on the history of Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu and its creator Grandmaster Shoshin Nagamine, but also on his son Soke Takyoshi Nagamine. Tony also gave a wonderful presentation on the history of Matsubayashi Kobudo, and Sensei Trombley did a great job with kata workouts and applications. We are thankful for all the support and dedication to those who attended, including our friends from Ohio -- Terrance, Lucy, Jeorge and Amir. We look forward to many more seminars in the future.
